Welcome to Southern New Zealand
Southern New Zealand
manages to squeeze a huge diversity of eco systems into a relatively
small geographic area. It helps of course that New Zealand is
aligned more or less north south, and in reasonably temperate
latitudes. For example Stewart Island in the far south is actually
closer to the equator by some 200 kilometres, than is the South of
England.
And while some 1200 years of
Maori plus 200 years of European occupation have wrought significant
changes to our eco systems it is still an amazing eco-destination,
set in the middle of fantastic scenery.
So let Nature South take you on a journey of discovery through the magic of Southern New Zealand.
